PREPARING FOR THE DAY
Once I have confirmed my availability for the date in question, I shall liaise with you regarding the song or songs you would like me to sing at your ceremony. I shall require the contact details of the organist/musician playing at the ceremony and in most cases we will arrange a rehearsal together. After the booking is confirmed, you and I can discuss your requirements or in the case of a funeral I can speak directly with the funeral directors to make sure things run smoothly.
I will be in the church ready prior to the congregation arriving and I will only leave when the congregation have left.
I will always dress professionally and sensitively to the occasion.
If you have always dreamt of walking down the aisle to your favourite song, Ingrid can make it happen. Having sung at hundreds of weddings over the years, Ingrid is very experienced at providing a romantic and joyful musical experience to make your special day even more memorable.
Ingrid has been trained to sing in various languages and she performs at church weddings, humanist weddings, religious and non-religious weddings. Although she is classically trained, she often performs secular songs close to the couples hearts that may range from pop music and musical theatre also.
Ingrid can sing the entry music as the coffin is coming in to the church, the exit music as the coffin is leaving the church and any music in between. Very often, she sings during communion and can also lead the congregation during the ceremony.
Ingrid has performed at traditional church masses, religious and non-religious ceremony as well as cremations, memorials, wakes and celebrations of life. It is very important to Ingrid that you have the most beautiful and comforting music at these times and she can organise with you directly or with your chosen funeral directors to make sure that the music you choose is perfect for your ceremony.
Ingrid grew up in Dublin, Ireland and therefore has performed in many Irish services, both weddings and funerals, in the Roman Catholic tradition as well as in other religious services and secular occasions. She is happy to perform traditional Irish songs and hymns and also songs in Gaelic Irish.
